We are seeking an accomplished Senior Software Developer to lead the technical design, development, and maintenance of enterprise-grade cloud applications and microservices. In this role, you will translate complex system specifications into clean, scalable, and fully tested software solutions. Operating across the Microsoft tech stack and cloud ecosystems, you will design custom Web APIs, build resilient backend services, manage automated CI/CD pipelines, and resolve complex technical challenges within an Agile delivery model.
Location: Toronto, ON (Fully Onsite – 5 days/week required)
Duration: 12-month contract.

Responsibilities
Translate detailed technical system specifications into working, fully tested applications, including writing clean code and developing programming specifications.
Architect, develop, and maintain custom Web APIs, web applications, and web services using ASP.NET, .NET Core, C#, Entity Framework, and Azure SQL.
Design and implement secure RESTful services incorporating modern API standards and authentication protocols (REST, OpenAPI, OAuth2).
Establish, manage, and optimize automated CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows for continuous integration and deployment.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical software problems during system deployment, data conversion, and application migrations.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional IT professionals throughout the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Maintain, compile, and execute thorough unit tests to guarantee high code quality, application reliability, and performance.
Produce detailed technical documentation, architectural walkthroughs, and status reports for team members and project stakeholders.
Qualifications
Core Application Development: Proven senior-level experience developing enterprise web applications and custom Web APIs using ASP.NET, .NET Core, C#, and JavaScript (Strictly Required).
Cloud Platform Proficiency: Demonstrated working knowledge of Azure cloud technologies and proficiency across SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS service models (Strictly Required).
Database & ORM Mastery: Hands-on experience with Entity Framework and Azure SQL database design and query performance (Strictly Required).
CI/CD & DevOps Management: Hands-on experience building, managing, and maintaining automated CI/CD pipelines and DevOps task boards (Strictly Required).
API Standards & Security: Direct experience developing web services and APIs using REST, OpenAPI specifications, and OAuth2 security protocols (Strictly Required).
Agile Frameworks: Experience operating within Agile development environments, actively using Kanban and task boards (Strictly Required).
