Full job description

Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized Accident Benefits Legal Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide key support to a busy Lawyer by handling administrative duties, conducting legal research, and assisting with the preparation of legal documentation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organizational skills and a genuine interest in the legal field to grow within a professional setting.

Required Experience
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the Accident Benefits field is required.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and submit all required OCF forms accurately and in a timely manner
Maintain regular communication with clients and insurance adjusters to support benefit claims
Draft and manage written correspondence with clients, adjusters, and opposing counsel
Review and process incoming correspondence under the guidance of the Lawyer
Assist with the preparation of LAT Applications and Case Conference Summaries
Request and manage medical documentation through Tracument, including Section 33 requests, EUOs, and related materials
Monitor and track outstanding items, approvals, and denials

Qualifications & Skills

Demonstrated experience in Accident Benefits within a personal injury law firm is essential
Strong client-focused approach with a commitment to advocacy and professionalism
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
Team-oriented with clear communication skills and a willingness to support colleagues
Open to learning, responsive to feedback, and driven to grow within the role
Completion of post-secondary education
Graduate of a Law Clerk or Paralegal program preferred
Proficiency with legal software and tools, including Clio, Tracument, DocuSign, Primafact and Outlook

This is a hybrid position with 3 days in office and 2 days working remotely.

Pay: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
