Role: Informatica IICS / IDMC ETL Developer
Location: Toronto, ON
Duration: Long Term Contract

Job Description:

Strong hands-on experience in IICS/IDMC
Experience in RDBMS and SQL
Hands-on experience in AWS Cloud Services (e.g., S3, Lambda, SNS etc.)
Development experience in Python

Role Descriptions: Role Sr. Data Engineer (ETL Focused with AWS Cloud Services experience)Role and ResponsibilitiesLead the design| development| and optimization of scalable data platforms and pipelines leveraging AWS cloud services and modern data engineering technologies.Collaborate with business stakeholders| architects| analysts| and application teams to gather requirements| define data solutions| and deliver reliable| high-quality data products.Design and build batch and real-time data ingestion| transformation| and orchestration frameworks to support analytics| reporting| and downstream applications.Analyze complex data and system challenges| and drive innovative solutions to improve performance| scalability| data quality| and operational efficiency.Ensure best practices in data modeling| coding standards| testing| security| governance| and deployment processes are followed across the engineering lifecycle.Take ownership of assigned data domains| pipelines| platform components| driving them from design through production support with minimal supervision.Mentor and guide junior engineers| fostering a culture of technical excellence| learning| and continuous improvement within the team.Continuously evaluate new AWS services| frameworks| and engineering approaches to enhance the organizations data platform capabilities.
Essential Skills: MUST HAVE Skill sets10 years of professional experience in data engineering and ETL processes (IICSIDMC).Hands-on experience in AWS Cloud Services such as S3| Lambda.Proven track record of delivering complex| enterprise-scale data integration| transformation| and analytics solutions.Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive mindset and the ability to independently drive technical initiatives.Hands-on experience in designing and implementing data warehouses| and scalable ETLELT frameworks.Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively with global teams| business users| and technical stakeholders.Excellent communication and analytical skills| with the ability to translate business requirements into efficient and scalable data solutions.Technical SkillsoStrong hands-on experience in IICS IDMC.oStrong programming experience in Python and SQL| with working knowledge of Spark or PySpark for large-scale data processing.oHands-on experience with ETLELT pipeline development| workflow orchestration| and automation using tools such as AWS Glue Workflows| IICSIDMC or similar platforms.oExperience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL| Oracle.oHands-on development experience in AWS data services such as S3| Glue| Lambda| Redshift| Step Functions| and CloudWatch.oFamiliarity with event-driven architectures using SQS or related technologies.oExperience with CICD pipelines| Git-based workflows| infrastructure as code tools such as CloudFormation| and Agile delivery methodologies.oGood understanding of data governance| metadata management| security| access control| and data quality practices in AWS environments.Additional CommentsAfter hours weekend support for critical MEQEYE support on rotation basisHybrid work model 1 day week at Customers officeAWS certification such as AWS Certified Data Engineer| Solutions Architect| or equivalent is a plus.
