Senior Full Stack Software Engineer

Location: Vancouver, BC (Downtown) — 4 days in office / 1 day WFH

Job Type: Full-Time

Compensation: CA$90,000.00 - CA$95,000.00 per year

Eligibility: Authorized to work in Canada

We are looking for a talented Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join our growing engineering team and help build scalable products that power our next stage of growth.

Main Responsibilities

Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable software solutions, technical specifications, architecture designs, and system documentation.
Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain full stack web applications, backend services, and distributed systems.
Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, automation systems, and integrations with internal and third-party platforms.
Build and optimize media processing pipelines for video generation, rendering, image processing, and digital content delivery.
Design, develop, and maintain scalable database architectures and cloud-native infrastructure.
Build and manage containerized applications and cloud environments using modern DevOps practices.
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated deployment processes, and software testing frameworks.
Apply clean code principles, software engineering best practices, and maintainable architectural patterns.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex production issues while continuously improving performance, scalability, and reliability.
Participate in software architecture discussions, technical planning sessions, code reviews, and engineering best practices initiatives.
Evaluate and recommend new technologies, frameworks, and tools to support long-term product growth and maintainability.
Collaborate closely with Product, AI, Marketing, and Engineering teams to align technical solutions with business objectives.
Build and maintain MCP servers that connect Roomvu's internal APIs with AI agents and automation systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
3+ years of professional experience in software engineering and full stack application development.
Strong experience with software architecture, API development, relational databases, cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, and CI/CD processes.
Experience building scalable SaaS platforms, automation systems, AI-enabled products, or multimedia processing solutions.
Strong analytical, debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Experience working collaboratively within cross-functional engineering teams.
Ability to participate in technical planning, architecture discussions, and code reviews.
Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
