Position:

Transport truck driver

Duration/Type:

Full Time

Reporting Location:

246 Waydom Dr, Ayr, ON, N0B 1E0

Salary:

$37.50 per hour–The gross salary paid will be subject to all applicable Federal and Provincial income taxes and other statutory deductions.

Vacation:

4% of the gross salary

Hours of Work:

30-40 Hours a week. Overtime rate (X1.5) applicable after 44 hours of work per week

Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities

Operating an AZ Vehicle in a safe and responsible manner to transport goods and materials
Perform pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle such as condition of equipment and loading and unloading of cargo.
Ensure cargo is secured properly upon loading.
Provide accurate and timely product deliveries to scheduled customers
Establish and maintain positive working relationships with the primary contacts at each account
Complete all necessary paperwork fully and accurately
Perform all assigned duties in a safe and responsible manner, while in compliance with all laws and transportation regulations
Other duties as requested by the dispatch office.

Specific Job Requirements

Minimum 1 year of verifiable AZ truck driving experience is required.
Must possess a valid AZ Driver’s License in good standing.
Must maintain a clean CVOR and Driver’s Abstract with no record of traffic violations.
Must hold a valid U.S. visa to operate cross-border routes for freight deliveries, either independently or as part of a two-driver team.
Completion of secondary school is required.

Pay: $37.50 per hour
