COMPANY OVERVIEW:

Geotech is a global leader in technological innovation for airborne geophysical survey mapping, interpretation and analysis. The clarity of our data lets you see with accuracy and detail what’s beneath the earth, from near the surface to great depths. We work closely with clients in many industries to identify and implement solutions that meet specific project goals.

POSITION SUMMARY:

To install, operate and service geophysical surveying equipment, while collecting, compiling, and archiving related survey data. You will be required to fly in an aircraft, on a daily basis for lengthy periods of time, while operating the onboard survey equipment. The position involves working and living for extended periods of time in remote locations across Canada, U.S. and around the world.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Install, operate and service surveying equipment. Assist in the inspection, testing and adjustment of electronic components. Ensure that quality standards are maintained. Responsible for the continuous operations of electronic equipment. Responsible for the collection, compilation and processing of operational data, reading and interpreting colour coded data. Must be available to travel for extended periods of time, with little notice.

WHAT YOU BRING

· Degree/Diploma in Electronics Required

· Valid Class G Drivers License

· Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

· Critical thinking ability

· Excellent organizational and planning skills

· Ability to work effectively with others in close quarters for extended periods of time

· Strong verbal and written communication skills in English

· Proficiency in basic mathematics and unit conversion

· Computer literacy, including proficiency with:

· Internet applications

· Word processing software

· Spreadsheet software

Physical capability to perform manual labour, including:

· Heavy lifting of items over 40 kg

· Sitting in confined aircraft spaces for extended periods

· Standing for long durations

· Working on feet for many hours per day
