Location: Ottawa, ON (Hybrid/Remote options available)
Type: Future Opportunities – Contractor and Full-Time Roles
Clearance: Varies by project (Secret or Reliability may be required for Federal Government work)

Orangutech is a trusted partner to the Government of Canada and leading organizations, specializing in delivering innovative technology solutions. We are building a pool of talented .NET Developers to support upcoming opportunities across multiple federal and enterprise projects.

As a .NET Developer in our talent pool, you will be considered for future roles where you’ll design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications leveraging the Microsoft stack. You’ll collaborate with business analysts, architects, and project teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, test, and maintain applications using C#, ASP.NET (Core/MVC), and .NET Framework/Core
Build and consume RESTful APIs and Web Services
Work with SQL Server (queries, stored procedures, optimization)
Integrate solutions with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Azure, or other enterprise systems (depending on project)
Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and deployment processes
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (BA, QA, DevOps, PMs) to deliver solutions on time
Ensure compliance with security, accessibility, and coding standards

Skills, Knowledge + Nice to Haves

3+ years of professional experience as a .NET Developer
Strong skills in C#, ASP.NET MVC/Core, Entity Framework
Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and modern frameworks (React, Angular, or Blazor is an asset)
Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices (Git, CI/CD pipelines)
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Nice-to-Have:

Government of Canada project experience
Active Federal Government security clearance (Reliability or Secret)
Experience with Dynamics 365, Power Platform, or Microsoft 365 integrations
