Job Title: Technical Lead

Location : GTA, Ontario, Canada

Experience Level: 7+ Years

Job type: Contract (6 Months)

Our highly skilled teams include Engineering, which excels in rapid delivery on Cloud Native architectures using matured DevOps processes on your preferred public cloud partner, UX/UI, which delivers high-end solutions using a human-centric approach to their design methodologies, and Mobile app development, which builds cross-platform mobile apps for Android and iOS using Flutter.

Job Profile: Prism Cloud Consulting is seeking a visionary and hands-on Technical Lead to drive the evolution of our cloud-native solutions. In this role, you will bridge the gap between complex business requirements and technical execution. We are looking for a leader who is passionate about building scalable, high-performance systems and who thrives in an environment that demands both high-level strategy and deep-dive technical ownership.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership:

Lead and mentor a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.

● Architectural Ownership: Design and oversee the implementation of robust Microservices and Serverless architectures on AWS.

● Hands-on Development: Maintain a strong technical presence by writing clean, production-grade code in Node.js and conducting rigorous code reviews.

● Data Management: Architect and optimize data solutions using both MongoDB (NoSQL) and traditional Relational Databases.

● End-to-End Delivery: Take full ownership of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), ensuring projects are delivered on time and meet the highest quality standards.

● Strategic Collaboration: Work independently to solve complex bottlenecks and communicate technical roadmaps to stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience:

● Experience: 7–10 years of professional experience in software engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership or lead capacity.

● Cloud Expertise: Deep, hands-on experience with AWS Cloud services (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, EC2, etc.).

● Backend Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in Node.js and building scalable Microservices.

● Modern Architecture: Proven track record in designing and deploying Serverless architectures.

● Database Proficiency: Strong experience with MongoDB and SQL/Relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.).

● Ownership Mentality: Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage shifting priorities, and take ultimate responsibility for project success.

Soft Skills:

● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

● Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.

● Ability to mentor junior developers and drive team cohesion.
