About the Opportunity
We are currently seeking highly experienced Senior Engineering Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to support engineering initiatives at Bruce Power. These positions are ideal for recognized technical experts with extensive design, troubleshooting, and engineering leadership experience in one or more specialized disciplines.
While nuclear industry experience is highly desirable, candidates from other highly regulated industries—including power generation, utilities, oil & gas, mining, chemical processing, heavy industrial manufacturing, and EPC environments—are encouraged to apply.
This is a primarily remote opportunity, with occasional travel to the Bruce Power site as project requirements dictate.
Areas of Expertise
We are seeking senior technical experts with deep experience in one or more of the following disciplines:

Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical authority within your area of expertise.
- Provide engineering guidance and technical consultation to multidisciplinary project teams.
- Support engineering design reviews, calculations, specifications, and technical evaluations.
- Review and resolve complex technical issues affecting equipment reliability, safety, and performance.
- Develop engineering recommendations for equipment upgrades, modifications, and lifecycle management.
- Participate in root cause investigations, failure analysis, and corrective action development.
- Support procurement activities through technical bid evaluations and vendor reviews.
- Review vendor documentation, engineering packages, drawings, and technical reports.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable industry codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across engineering teams.
- Participate in meetings with clients, project teams, vendors, and stakeholders as required.
- Travel to site periodically to support project execution, inspections, troubleshooting, or technical meetings.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited university
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation is strongly preferred
Required Experience
- 15+ years of engineering experience within one or more of the listed technical disciplines.
- Demonstrated experience as a recognized Subject Matter Expert (SME).
- Extensive engineering design, analysis, troubleshooting, and technical review experience.
- Experience supporting large industrial, utility, energy, or infrastructure projects.
- Proven ability to solve complex engineering problems and provide strategic technical guidance.
- Experience reviewing engineering deliverables, specifications, calculations, and technical documentation.
- Strong understanding of equipment lifecycle management, reliability, maintenance, and asset performance.
Preferred Experience
