Full job description

Software Automation Test Developer (Python)
Procom is seeking a Software Automation Test Developer to join a team focused on developing automated testing solutions for advanced software platforms. This role is ideal for a developer who enjoys building automation frameworks, creating test tools, and collaborating closely with development and QA teams in an Agile environment.
This is a fully onsite position located in Ottawa, Ontario.
Responsibilities

Collaborate with development and testing teams to understand automation requirements and implement test solutions
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and test frameworks
Build and maintain test libraries that interface with systems under test
Develop software tools and features that improve automated testing capabilities
Integrate test automation solutions with test management and defect tracking platforms
Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint deliverables

-Troubleshoot issues and develop creative, effective software solutions Required Skills & Experience -3+ years of Python development experience

Experience working with automated testing environments and frameworks
Experience with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities

-Ability to work effectively in a collaborative Agile environment Preferred Skills -Experience with REST APIs

Experience with SQL databases
Familiarity with Jira or similar defect tracking tools
Experience with test case management platforms
Knowledge of .NET Framework

-Experience developing test automation tools and frameworks Education -Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field What Makes You Successful -Self-motivated and capable of working independently

Strong analytical mindset
Ability to contribute effectively within a multi-site development environment
Passion for quality, automation, and continuous improvement Location: Onsite, Ottawa, ON Duration:12 Months Contract
