POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting directly to the Director, FP&A, the Senior Analyst - Business Intelligence & Analytics will be responsible for leading and supporting the senior leadership team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This role demands a hands-on approach to daily data analysis and relationship-building across all levels of the organization. The ideal candidate will possess a growth mindset, with a keen ability to delve into the details while understanding operational business drivers. This position reports directly to senior leadership and offers a significant opportunity to contribute to the organization's growth and continuous improvement efforts as well as impact patient care and outcomes.
The Senior Analyst - Business Intelligence & Analytics will develop data visualizations to inform strategic decision-making, optimize service delivery, and enhance operational efficiency across our extensive network of outpatient opioid addiction treatment centres, specialty pharmacies, and inpatient addiction treatment facilities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards.

Assist in SQL development of data models for reporting and forecasting.

Support integration of data from multiple enterprise systems and cloud platforms.

Collaborate with other members of CATC to gather and translate reporting needs into technical specifications.

Support data validation, troubleshooting, and report performance optimization.

Create and maintain technical documentation and user guides.

Assist with Power BI administration, workspace management, and access controls.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (within and outside of Finance) to address any discrepancies and streamline reporting processes, as well as to gather relevant data and insights for financial analysis.

Execute the development and maintenance of analytics and reporting tools to provide actionable insights. This includes working extensively with Power BI or similar business intelligence software to analyze data, generate reports, and support data-driven decision-making processes.

Lead cross-functional projects that leverage data analytics to address complex business challenges, optimizing processes and driving forward organizational priorities.

Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and accessibility of all data reporting functions and analytics platforms, implementing best practices in data management and governance.

Present complex data findings clearly and concisely to stakeholders at all levels, both in writing and verbally.
KEY SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field.

Hands-on experience in Power BI development, SQL, and data visualization.

Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and databases.

Experience translating business requirements into technical reporting solutions.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills

Experience using Git and dbt to manage data models and data warehouse.

Prior exposure to financial planning or analysis or a related role.

Experience in utilizing Power BI or similar business intelligence software for data analysis, visualization, and reporting.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookup functions, manipulating large volumes of data).

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.

Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Strong organization and time management skills.

Strong business analysis skills with a track record of successful requirement gathering and solutions implementation preferred.
