Full job description

InVision is a Professional Recruitment Firm involved in Engineering, Industrial/Skilled Trades, Information Technology and Professional Services within Canada and the U.S. We have a successful track record working on both small and large recruitment projects, across North America.

Our client, a leading service and installation organization is looking to hire Millwrights and Apprentices on a project basis. This is a day shift role offering excellent working experience. In this position, you will learn how to install and assemble mechanical equipment.

Please Note: This position is located in Ottawa, ON. The role is day shift 7am-5pm. There is 10-20 hours of OT available each week. Pay is in the range of $25-45/hour depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

Must be safety oriented.
Ability to perform mechanical assembly of equipment and mechanical systems such as conveyors.
Machinery troubleshooting
Layout principles
Accurately Blueprint reading.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Knowledge and experience with machine tools
Operate hand tools safely.
Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs, as heavy lifting is required.

Qualifications:

Experience as a Millwright, Mechanical Assembler, Aircraft Assembler, Tool and Die Maker, Welder and other mechanical trades are all considered.
Excellent attention to detail
Must be Available to Start Immediately
Must have own hand tools
Must have valid Working at Heights or willing to obtain
Must have valid MEWP, AWP, Scissor Lift or willing to obtain

Time and a half paid after every 8-hour days, Saturdays are time and a half
Day shift
