Overview
Matrix HR is currently seeking a highly experienced Senior Scrum Master to lead Agile delivery for a high-velocity AI prototyping team. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership, facilitation, and communication skills, along with a deep understanding of Agile methodologies, SAFe practices, and enterprise software development. This role combines Agile leadership with technical fluency to guide cross-functional teams in delivering innovative AI- and data-driven solutions while promoting collaboration, continuous improvement, and high-performance team culture.

Responsibilities

Leads agile delivery for a high-velocity AI prototyping team, combining Agile leadership with technical fluency to enable high-performing teams working on AI- and data-intensive solutions.
Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, driving adoption of Agile best practices within the AI POD.
Partner with the Product Owner to manage and prioritize AI-focused backlogs.
Remove impediments, manage dependencies, and mitigate delivery risks to maintain sprint momentum.
Track and report Agile metrics such as velocity and sprint progress, providing concise, outcome-focused updates for executive stakeholders.
Coach team members on continuous improvement, predictability, and self-organization.
Promote regular reflection on processes and opportunities for improvement.
Maintain a working understanding of AI/GenAI delivery lifecycles, including familiarity with LLMs, multi-agent systems, RAG, embeddings, and vector databases.
Engage meaningfully with AI engineers and architects on technical topics and maintain awareness of MLOps/LLMOps and productionization challenges.
Enable effective collaboration across cross-functional teams—product, data engineering, AI/ML development, and platform—ensuring sprint outcomes align with broader product goals.
Operates with minimal oversight, driving outcomes independently.
Expected to work without considerable direction while mentoring and supervising team members as needed.
Industry benchmarks for this type of role indicate 8–10 years of Agile-Scrum experience.

Pay: Up to $73.56 per hour
