Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Kitchen Assistant/Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of delicious dishes, ensuring food safety standards are upheld, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. Your leadership skills will help guide junior team members, foster teamwork, and deliver exceptional food service experiences. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary talents while contributing to a lively hospitality setting that values quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

Prepare ingredients and cook meals according to established recipes and quality standards
Assist in food presentation, plating, and portion control to ensure consistency and appeal
Supervise kitchen staff during shifts, providing guidance on food handling, safety procedures, and efficient workflow
Manage food inventory, monitor stock levels, and coordinate with suppliers for timely replenishments
Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene practices across all kitchen operations
Support restaurant management in daily operations, including opening and closing procedures
Serve customers directly when needed, ensuring a friendly and professional dining experience

Qualifications

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant service roles within the food industry
Demonstrated supervising or team management experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling techniques
Ability to lead by example with excellent communication skills and a positive attitude
Familiarity with restaurant management practices, including inventory control and food service procedures
Passion for culinary arts with a focus on quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction
Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is highly desirable
