Full job description

MDS Coating is the leading designer and manufacturer of erosion and corrosion resistant coatings for gas turbine engine compressors. A trusted partner for aerospace engine manufacturers worldwide, we contribute to greenhouse gas emission reductions and a more sustainable future. We’re looking for a sharp Senior Accountant to join our Finance Team at our Slemon Park, PEI facility.

What You’ll Do

Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and supporting documentation
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, including corporate financial statements and management reporting packages
Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities
Prepare funding applications and submit government grant claim reports
Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and internal controls
Support external audits by preparing schedules, reports, and documentation
Assist with tax filings, government reporting, and other compliance requirements
Support payroll, AP, AR, and fixed asset accounting functions as needed
Participate in ERP system maintenance and process improvement initiatives
Collaborate across departments to support operational and financial objectives

What We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
CPA designation or active progress toward CPA designation preferred
3+ years of progressive accounting experience
Strong knowledge of GAAP and hands-on experience with financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and reconciliations
Experience with ERP systems is an asset
Grant/government funding experience is an asset
Must meet eligibility requirements for the Canadian Controlled Goods Program
