Job Description Summary
This role is responsible for supporting and enhancing Medline Canada’s SAP Warehouse Management (WM) capabilities within a complex distribution and logistics environment. The Senior Functional Analyst will partner closely with business stakeholders and IT teams to deliver scalable solutions across warehouse operations, system integrations, and ongoing production support.
The position plays a critical role in both project delivery and day-to-day operational stability, requiring strong functional expertise in SAP WM, hands-on configuration experience, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
Provide functional and technical support for SAP WM and related logistics solutions to ensure stable, efficient business operations
Design, configure, and implement SAP WM enhancements aligned to business requirements and operational needs
Lead and participate in the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including scoping, requirements gathering, design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support
Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable, maintainable system solutions
Assess the scope, impact, and effort of enhancement requests and projects, providing estimates and recommendations to leadership
Ensure adherence to IT governance, standards, and change management processes
Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities and support business validation of delivered solutions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including infrastructure, development, and external partners, within a distributed delivery model
Monitor and manage incidents, service requests, and enhancement workflows (e.g., JIRA), ensuring timely resolution and clear communication
Develop and maintain functional specifications, process documentation, and user guides; provide training and knowledge transfer as required
Qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
- Previous experience working with SAP SD, WM or other ERPs in a Manufacturing or Distribution environment.
- Three to five years of hands-on configuration/development experience
- Experience working on enhancements and projects through to implementation
- Core SAP WM Expertise.
- Strong hands-on experience designing, configuring, and supporting SAP WM solutions in complex warehouse or distribution environments.
- Deep understanding of WM processes, including warehouse structure, inventory. management, receiving, putaway strategies, picking, packing, shipping, and reporting.
- Proven experience delivering SAP WM enhancements and projects, including system design, configuration, testing, and deployment..
- Integration & Technical Capability.
- Experience integrating SAP WM with other SAP modules (e.g., MM, SD, LE) and external systems (e.g., WES, conveyor systems, carrier platforms).
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve integration and production issues through root cause analysis, log review, and system diagnostics.
- Strong understanding of ABAP development concepts, with the ability to define functional specifications for enhancements (e.g., reports, user exits, BADIs, interfaces, LSMW, IDOCs, RFCs).
- Experience working with system integrations, APIs, and data exchange mechanisms.
- Warehouse Technology & Operations
- Experience working with RF devices and SAP Console environments within warehouse operations.
- Experience supporting or implementing warehouse automation solutions (e.g., WES, ASRS) and providing technical input on design and integration
- Exposure to Just-in-Time (JIT) processes and logistics best practices
- Delivery & Analysis.
- Ability to translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications and work closely with development teams to deliver solutions
- Experience conducting functional and integration testing, supporting UAT, and providing post-production support.
The anticipated salary range for this position:
$102,300.00 - $153,500.00 Annual
