Job Summary
We are seeking four (4) highly skilled Journeyman Electricians for a heavy industrial infrastructure project. This is a physically demanding role requiring high stamina for consistent outdoor and industrial environment work.
We are strictly looking for candidates with heavy industrial experience (Water Treatment, Oil & Gas, Chemical Plants). Applicants whose experience is primarily residential will not be considered for this project.
Responsibilities:
- Installation of PVC and Rigid Conduit.
- Comprehensive wiring of PLC systems (no programming required).
- Pulling wire and managing Tek Cables.
- Installation of Cable Trays and Control Systems.Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems in industrial facilities, including wiring, conduit, panels, and control systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to execute precise electrical installations.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete electrical work efficiently and safely.
- Work with low voltage systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and automation components as required.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using schematics and diagnostic tools to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Assist with renovation projects by upgrading existing electrical infrastructure while adhering to safety standards.
- Ensure all work complies with local electrical codes, safety regulations, and project specifications.
- Maintain a clean work environment and document work performed for project records.
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an industrial electrician with a strong understanding of electrical systems in manufacturing or construction environments.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools such as pliers, wire strippers, screwdrivers, and multimeters; experienced with power tools for heavy-duty applications.
- Ability to interpret technical schematics related to industrial electrical systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues efficiently.
- Experience working on construction sites or renovation projects involving electrical upgrades or modifications.
- Handyman experience is a plus for versatile troubleshooting and minor repairs. This position offers an opportunity for qualified electricians to contribute their expertise on challenging projects within a dynamic industrial environment while adhering to high safety standards.
- Licensing: Valid Journeyman 309A License.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of verifiable experience specifically as an Industrial Electrician.
- Safety Certifications: Current Working at Heights and Elevated Aerial Work Platform (AWP) certifications.
- Communication: Must possess native-level fluency in English for critical on-site safety coordination and technical documentation.
- Physical Ability: Must be capable of performing heavy lifting, climbing, and sustained physical labor in a fast-paced industrial setting.
Location: Dixie and Lakeshore- Mississauga
Pay: $46.00
Monday- Friday: 7:00am start time- 44 hours a week
Length of Project: 6 months to 1 year contract (Potential for Permanent Placement)
