Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join our compassionate veterinary team. This role is vital in supporting veterinarians and ensuring the well-being of our patients.

Duties

Assist veterinarians and technicians during examinations and treatments
Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical instruments
Restrain animals safely during procedures to ensure safety for both animals and staff
Deliver clear client communication
Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories
Provide compassionate care to animals, including feeding, bathing, and monitoring recovery
Restocking supplies and medications as needed
Front Desk support, client transactions, email, telephones

Skills

Experience in a veterinary clinic setting
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners and team members
Ability to handle animals gently and confidently in various situations
Laboratory experience is preferred to assist with sample collection and testing procedures
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to evolving veterinary practices
Basic understanding of medical terminology related to veterinary care is beneficial
