Purpose

Site Maintenance Labourers assist the Site Maintenance & Services team in completing diverse maintenance projects both onsite, and in the camp.

The Red Chris Mine Site Services team is recruiting for a Labourer opening with a competitive hourly rate of $35.45, with additional benefits.

We are seeking an individual for a Fly-In, Fly-Out opportunity working on a two-weeks-in, two-weeks-out rotation.

Essential Duties

Reporting to the Site Maintenance Supervisor, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Strong commitment and adherence to all Safety Policies and Procedures
Operate a variety of trucks to support maintenance efforts around site, including gravel, water and septic trucks.
Assist with other maintenance activities as required.
Demonstrate continuous improvement to enhance operations..
Ability to perform labouring and other tasks in all weather conditions.
Must be able to work with minimal supervision once familiar with requirements.
A team player that works well with others.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to use Microsoft Office and MS Outlook preferred, SAP experience a distinct asset.
Ability to mentor and train less experienced team members.
Other duties as required.

Training & Experience

Position requirements include, but are not limited to:

A Valid Class 3 drivers license, with Air Brakes endorsement required
Minimum of 2-5 years in related experience required.
Grade 12 diploma or equivalent preferred.
Candidates to provide information regarding Safety Program related training & experience, Equipment specific training and skills plus other trades related tickets and certificates
Ability to work at heights.
Ability to work in confined spaces.
Mechanically inclined to work with different trades.
Ability to operate different kind of equipment including but not limited to telehandler, skid steer, and manlifts.
Assist in Hydro-vac operations.

The expected hourly rate for this role is CA$35.54 . This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience.
