Warehouse Associate

Maple Leaf Ropes
Brantford, ON
Full-Time | Monday to Friday | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour

As our company continues to grow, we are looking for a motivated and dependable Warehouse Associate to join our team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring customers receive accurate orders on time while maintaining a safe, efficient, and organized warehouse environment.

Position Summary

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for receiving incoming inventory, picking and packing customer orders, operating material handling equipment, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting daily warehouse operations. The successful candidate will be a team player who takes pride in their work and is committed to maintaining high standards of safety, efficiency, and customer service.

Key ResponsibilitiesOrder Fulfillment

Accurately pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
Verify product quantities and specifications against order documentation.
Ensure orders are packaged securely and appropriately for transport.
Complete shipping paperwork and prepare orders for courier and freight carriers.
Meet daily productivity and accuracy targets.

Receiving & Inventory Control

Receive, unload, inspect, and process incoming shipments.
Verify incoming products against purchase orders and packing slips.
Organize and store inventory in designated warehouse locations.
Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly inventory counts as required.
Maintain accurate inventory records within company software systems.
Assist in identifying and resolving inventory discrepancies.

Material Handling

Safely load, unload, move, and store products throughout the warehouse.
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, and other warehouse equipment.
Follow all safety procedures and company policies when handling materials.
Assist with staging freight and preparing outbound shipments.

Warehouse Operations

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
Assist with warehouse organization and continuous improvement initiatives.
Support team members and other departments as required.
Perform general warehouse duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications & RequirementsRequired

Previous forklift experience.
Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week).
Strong work ethic with excellent attendance and punctuality.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Ability to regularly lift and move products weighing up to 60 lbs.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Basic computer proficiency and comfort using inventory systems.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred

Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, or order-picking experience.
Experience using inventory management or ERP software.
Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain certification).
Experience working in an industrial, manufacturing, or distribution environment.
