Full job description

Ashwood Glen School – Burlington, Ontario

Ashwood Glen is a dynamic childcare and private school community in Burlington, offering a unique Montessori-to-IB educational pathway from Toddler through Grade 8. Our learning environment is warm, collaborative, and child-centred, with a strong focus on nurturing curiosity, independence, and community.

We are currently seeking a caring, flexible, and team-oriented Floater / Classroom Support Educator to join our Children’s House and school community.

Key Responsibilities

Provide classroom support across Toddler and CASA programs as assigned
Assist teachers with classroom routines, learning activities, and transitions
Support children with daily care, self-help skills, and social-emotional development
Supervise indoor and outdoor activities while maintaining a safe and positive environment
Assist with classroom setup, organization, and maintaining clean and prepared learning spaces
Support lunch, rest, and washroom routines as required
Cover staff breaks and provide classroom support during staff absences
Foster respectful and caring relationships with students, staff, and families
Follow all licensing, health and safety, and school policies and procedures
Assist with general school operations and other duties assigned by Management

Qualifications & Skills

Early Childhood Education (ECE) diploma or related experience considered an asset
Experience working with young children preferred
Flexible, dependable, and adaptable to changing classroom needs
Warm, patient, and collaborative approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Current Vulnerable Sector Check and First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
