About Us

A/C Air Systems is a growing commercial and industrial HVAC contractor based in Burlington, Ontario servicing the GTA and surrounding areas. We specialize in mechanical systems for new construction and renovation projects across the commercial and industrial sectors, often working on flagship builds for major brands. We take pride in delivering excellent customer service and quality mechanical installations on time.

Job Overview

We are looking for an HVAC Estimator to join our team. You will be responsible for preparing detailed mechanical estimates from tender documents, drawings, and specifications — primarily for industrial buildings and commercial restaurant projects in the GTA and surrounding areas. You will work closely with our project managers, suppliers, and subcontractors to produce competitive bids and win work with our clients.

Duties

Perform full mechanical takeoffs from construction drawings and specifications
Prepare and submit accurate HVAC estimates for ICI and restaurant projects
Solicit and analyze supplier and subcontractor quotes
Review tender documents, identify scope gaps, and issue RFIs
Build and maintain relationships with GC contacts and suppliers
Support project handoff to field and project management teams upon award
Track bid results in the company CRM
Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle to ensure adherence to budgets.

Qualifications

1+ years of HVAC/mechanical estimating experience in commercial or industrial construction.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
Familiarity with core commercial HVAC equipment (RTUs, heat pumps, MUA, exhaust systems, etc) and construction materials.
Strong math and organizational skills.
Experience with estimating software and construction ERPs.
Good communication skills, capable of liaising effectively with suppliers, clients, and team members.
Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in all work outputs.
Relevant qualifications or certifications in estimating or quantity surveying are desirable but not essential.

Pay: $50,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
