Operations Coordinator / Junior Operations Manager

Job Summary

Purpose and Scope

Signature Properties is looking for a motivated and organized Operations Coordinator / Junior Operations Manager to join our growing team in Calgary. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in residential property management and grow into a larger Operations Manager role overseeing a portfolio of approximately 1,000 suites.

The ideal candidate is eager to learn, takes initiative, communicates professionally, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for someone who wants to grow with the company and develop leadership skills within multifamily operations.

Responsibilities

Support the day-to-day operations of assigned residential properties
Assist with tenant file management, lease tracking, and resident records
Respond to tenant inquiries in a professional and timely manner
Assist with maintenance coordination and work order distribution
Review tenant applications and prepare required documentation
Maintain organized administrative files, correspondence, and records
Assist with accounts receivable/payable tracking and administrative reporting
Work closely with Property Managers regarding operations, maintenance, and resident relations
Help ensure operational tasks are completed efficiently and accurately
Take initiative on projects and continuously look for ways to improve operations and resident experience

Required Skills and Qualifications

5-8 years of experience in property management, administration, customer service, or related fields
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Able to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow
Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
Basic to intermediate experience with Microsoft Office programs including Excel and Word
Must have experience with Yardi or other property management software
