About Fil-Trek:

Fil-Trek designs and manufactures filtration systems and pressure vessels for industrial and commercial markets across North America. Our team takes pride in delivering high-quality, custom-built solutions and we’re looking for skilled individuals to help us bring those products to life.

Position Overview: We are seeking a Mechanical Assembler to join our final assembly team. This role is hands-on and critical in preparing pressure vessels and filtration systems for shipment including mechanical assembly, system integration, fitting, and final quality checks. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working with custom builds.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform mechanical assembly of pressure vessels and filtration systems according to engineered drawings and specifications
Install valves, gauges, piping, filters, and instrumentation as required
Fit and bolt components together using hand and power tools
Conduct leak testing, pressure testing, and functional checks on completed systems
Collaborate with welding, fabrication, and QA teams to ensure accuracy and completeness
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Assist in crating and preparing assembled systems for shipping

What We’re Looking For:

2+ years of experience in mechanical assembly or related field (industrial or manufacturing preferred)
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and schematics
Proficient in the use of hand tools, torque wrenches, drills, and pneumatic tools
Strong understanding of mechanical fittings, pipe connections, and system layout
Comfortable working with custom, one-off or small batch products
High attention to detail and quality
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
Forklift or overhead crane experience an asset (but not required)
Team player with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn
