Full job description

Job Overview
The Accounts Payable Clerk is directly responsible for performing data entry and related duties in disbursing non-payroll accounts payable to individuals, suppliers, corporations, and other entities. This includes filing, maintaining and updating financial spreadsheets and performing other administrative duties of the finance department.

This position involves diplomatic interaction to provide billing information and support in order to facilitate daily bank reconciliations. This role frequently handles highly confidential financial information.

Duties

Process and verify invoices for payment, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
Maintain vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Assist in the preparation of financial reports by analyzing accounts payable data.
Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure proper allocation of expenses.
Utilize accounting software such as Netsuite for efficient transaction processing.
Conduct regular audits of accounts payable transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments regarding payment inquiries.

Qualifications

Strong work ethic and positive team attitude!
Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk
Excellent written and verbal grammar and communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Familiarity with accounting software; experience with Netsuite is a plus.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze financial data accurately.
Effective attention to detail and a high degree of data entry accuracy.
Strong organizational skills and time management – excellent at multi-tasking, coordinating and prioritizing.
Strong problem solving and decision making skills, proactive and solution-oriented.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
