Full job description

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Dishwasher/Prep Cook to join our culinary team.
We are a team-oriented business and Kitchen staff get a share in the tip pool. Farmhouse has the highest tip pool rate in our area & industry.

This role is essential in maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment while assisting with food preparation and meal assembly. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, uphold food safety standards, and contribute to delivering a positive dining experience for our guests. This position offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience in the food industry and develop culinary skills in a fast-paced restaurant setting

Responsibilities

Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to ensure cleanliness and readiness for daily operations
Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, assembling ingredients, and portioning items according to recipes
Support the cooking team by preparing ingredients and helping with meal assembly as needed
Maintain a clean and organized work station in compliance with food safety standards
Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure hygiene and prevent contamination
Assist with inventory management by notifying supervisors of supplies that need replenishing
Adhere to all safety protocols within the kitchen environment to promote a safe working space for all staff

Qualifications

Previous experience in serving, food preparation, or kitchen roles is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
Basic cooking skills and familiarity with restaurant or food service environments are advantageous
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
Strong teamwork skills and good communication abilities
Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings or weekends if needed
Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks efficiently. This position is integral to the smooth operation of our Tasting Lounge, supporting both front-of-house service and kitchen functions while ensuring high standards of cleanliness and safety are maintained at all times

Pay: From $18.25 per hour
