Laser and Skin Esthetics of Canada is seeking an experienced, knowledgeable, and client-focused Medical Esthetician / Laser Technician to join our growing team.
We are a results-driven medical aesthetics clinic specializing in advanced laser and corrective skin treatments for a diverse clientele of all skin types and genders. We are looking for a professional who is passionate about skin health, confident performing treatments independently, and committed to delivering exceptional client care and outcomes.
About the Role
This position is ideal for an experienced Medical Esthetician or Medical Laser Technician who possesses strong consultation skills, treatment planning abilities, and a solid understanding of skin anatomy, wound healing, corrective treatments, and client care.
The successful candidate will be expected to assess client concerns, develop customized treatment plans, recommend appropriate homecare, and perform treatments safely and effectively with minimal supervision.
The successful candidate must be comfortable treating a diverse clientele of all genders, gender identities, sexual orientations, and skin types in a professional, respectful, and inclusive clinical environment.
Qualifications
Required
- Medical Esthetician Diploma
- Medical Laser Diploma or Laser certification
- Strong knowledge of skin anatomy, skin physiology, and wound healing
- Understanding of Fitzpatrick Skin Types I–VI
- Strong consultation, communication, and customer service skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to work independently while maintaining clinic protocols and standards
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Preferred
- Minimum 2 years experience in a medical aesthetics, laser, or advanced skin clinic setting
- Medical Laser Technician Certification
- Experience performing consultations and developing customized treatment plans
- Experience recommending and retailing professional skincare products
- Experience working with diverse skin types and conditions
Candidates must be able to demonstrate strong consultation skills, skin knowledge, treatment planning abilities, and the ability to perform treatments safely and independently with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
Client Consultations & Treatment Planning
- Conduct comprehensive client consultations
- Assess skin concerns and treatment suitability
- Develop customized treatment plans based on individual goals and concerns
- Recommend appropriate professional treatments and homecare products
- Educate clients on realistic expectations, risks, benefits, and treatment timelines
- Maintain detailed and accurate client records
Laser Treatments
Knowledge and experience with:
- Laser Hair Removal
- Pigmentation Treatments
- Melasma Management
- Acne & Acne Inflammation Treatments
- Skin Rejuvenation
- Spider Vein / Vascular Treatments
- Nail Fungus Treatments
Responsibilities include:
- Understanding laser theory and laser-tissue interaction
- Determining treatment suitability
- Adjusting treatments based on skin type and response
- Providing thorough pre- and post-care instructions
- Following all laser safety protocols
Skin Treatments
Experience with:
- Microneedling
- Chemical Peels
- Microdermabrasion
- Corrective Facials
- Geneo X Treatments
- High Frequency Treatments
- Green Peel Treatments
- Customized Skin Programs
Responsibilities include:
- Performing treatments safely and effectively
- Assessing treatment outcomes
- Modifying treatment plans when necessary
- Tracking client progress and results
Clinic Operations
- Follow all sanitation, sterilization, infection control, and safety protocols
- Maintain treatment rooms and equipment
- Assist with inventory management
- Support clinic organization and cleanliness
- Assist with client communication and scheduling when required
- Ensure exceptional client experiences at every visit
