Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC lathe machines to produce precision components. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, CNC programming, and blueprint reading to ensure high-quality production standards. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement.

Duties

Set up and operate CNC lathe machines ensuring accurate machining of parts according to specifications.
Interpret blueprints, technical drawings to determine machining requirements.
Program CNC lathes using CNC programming languages and adjust parameters for optimal performance.
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment to minimize downtime.
Use precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers to verify dimensions and tolerances.
Read and interpret blueprints and technical documents for complex machining tasks.
Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other manufacturing tools as needed for assembly or finishing processes.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment adhering to safety protocols.
Assist in continuous improvement initiatives like lean manufacturing practices to enhance efficiency.

Qualifications

Proven experience operating CNC lathe machines
Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot machine issues effectively.
Proficiency in CNC programming and editing using G-code or other relevant languages.
Familiarity with SolidWorks, CAD software, and blueprint reading skills.
Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, feeds, speeds, and tolerances.
Experience with machining processes including turning, threading, and drilling on CNC lathes.
Ability to use precision measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers accurately.
Knowledge of manufacturing safety standards and procedures.

Pay: $23.00-$35.00 per hour
