Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Construction Estimator/Coordinator to join our team. This role is essential in preparing accurate project bids, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring seamless project execution. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in construction estimating, project management, and negotiation, with proficiency in industry-standard software tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professionals eager to contribute to complex construction projects and advance their careers within a dynamic environment.

Duties

Prepare detailed construction estimates by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and project requirements using Bluebeam and HeavyBid software.
Collaborate with general contractor, clients, subcontractors, and vendors to gather pricing information and negotiate terms to secure competitive bids.
Develop comprehensive project budgets and schedules, ensuring alignment with client expectations and company standards.
Tender documentation
Coordinate with project managers to review bid proposals, scope of work, and project timelines for accuracy and feasibility.
Assist in the review of contracts and change orders, providing insights on pricing adjustments and risk management.
Monitor project progress post-award to ensure adherence to estimated costs and timelines; update estimates as necessary throughout the project lifecycle.
Maintain organized records of all estimating documents, correspondence, and project data for future reference.

Skills

Strong proficiency in Bluebeam Revu for markup and document management.
Expertise in construction estimating software such as HeavyBid or equivalent tools.
Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with clients and subcontractors.
Solid understanding of construction processes, materials, and pricing strategies.
Effective project management capabilities with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders simultaneously.
Knowledge of industry standards, safety regulations, and contract administration.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail; ability to interpret complex blueprints and technical documents. This role is ideal for professionals passionate about construction planning, cost control, and project coordination who thrive in collaborative environments focused on delivering high-quality results efficiently.
Water/wastewater experience is an asset
Must be eligible to work in Canada
Minimum 5+ years of experience.

Pay: $1,530.00-$1,870.00 per week
