Job Description:
Apex Sound & Light is seeking a Warehouse Technician to join our team and play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operations of our AV equipment rental and sales business.
Apex Sound & Light is a leading provider of professional audio, video, lighting, and staging production for events of all sizes across Canada and the United States.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Equipment Preparation
- Accurately pack audiovisual equipment for events according to rental orders across all departments: Audio, Lighting, Video & Staging.
- Ensure the timely and efficient handling of equipment to meet customer deadlines.
- Conduct thorough inspections to guarantee that multi-component packages are complete.
- Safely and efficiently load and unload customer and company trucks.
2. Equipment Maintenance & Inventory
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on all equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to promptly address any issues and maintain turnaround times for upcoming events.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, including tracking rentals and returns within the rental system.
3. Warehouse Management
- With the support of other team members, maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Assist in the upkeep and organization of equipment storage areas.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and guidelines.

Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- High school diploma.
- Ability to regularly lift 50+ lbs. Must be able to read and write in English.
- Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Minimum 1 year experience in AV industry, handling AV equiptment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively while remaining self-motivated.
- Willingness to learn and maintain a positive attitude.
- Ability to support projects outside of regular work hours (evenings and weekends) as needed.
Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Pickering, ON L1W 3R8: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
