Job Description
We are seeking an Early Cook to join our culinary team in Whitby, Canada. As an Early Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking breakfast and lunch items, ensuring high-quality meals are served to our customers during the morning hours.

Arrive early to set up the kitchen and prepare ingredients for the day's menu

Cook and present breakfast and lunch items according to established recipes and standards

Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to food safety and sanitation practices

Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient food preparation and service

Monitor and maintain appropriate food inventory levels
-
Assist in menu planning and development of new breakfast items
-
Adapt cooking techniques to accommodate dietary restrictions and allergens
-
Operate and maintain kitchen equipment properly
-
Ensure all food items are prepared and plated in a timely manner

Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service
Qualifications

Proven experience as a cook, preferably with early morning shift experience

Strong culinary skills and knowledge of various food preparation techniques

Proficiency in operating kitchen equipment and tools

Excellent time management and organizational skills

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Team player with strong communication skills

Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices

Experience in high-volume food preparation

Culinary diploma or equivalent (preferred)

Valid Food Handler's Certificate (required)

Familiarity with breakfast and lunch cuisine

Understanding of dietary restrictions and allergens

Flexibility to work early morning hours and weekends as needed
-
Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
