Job Overview
Augury Healthcare is currently seeking experienced OBS Registered Nurses for travel nursing assignments across Prince Edward Island.
This opportunity is ideal for Registered Nurses with strong experience in Perinatal Nursing, Labour and Delivery, newborn care, and maternal health. Successful candidates will support healthcare teams across PEI while providing safe, competent, and compassionate care to patients and families.
This role offers competitive pay, travel support, accommodation support, and the opportunity to work in meaningful healthcare environments while supporting communities in need.
Compensation and Benefits
Augury Healthcare offers competitive compensation and assignment support, including:
- $90.00 to $110.00 per hour

Requirements
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Active Registered Nurse license in Prince Edward Island, or willingness to obtain PEI licensure
- Minimum 4 to 5 years of Perinatal Nursing experience, including Labour, Delivery, and Newborn Care
- Current BLS certification
- Strong clinical experience in OBS, Labour and Delivery, maternal-newborn care, or perinatal nursing
- Ability to work in fast-paced clinical environments
- Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Strong assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills
- Professional, reliable, and patient-focused approach to care
- Availability for a minimum 2-month contract commitment
Preferred Certifications
The following certifications are considered assets:
- ACLS
- PALS
- Equivalent emergency or maternal-newborn certifications
Key Responsibilities
As an OBS Registered Nurse, responsibilities may include:
- Provide safe, competent, and compassionate patient care in OBS and Labour and Delivery settings
- Monitor maternal and fetal health
- Perform maternal, fetal, newborn, and postpartum assessments
- Support patients and families throughout labour, delivery, recovery, and newborn care
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Respond quickly and effectively to urgent or changing clinical situations
- Follow facility policies, procedures, and professional practice standards
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
- Communicate clearly with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Support safe patient care and positive maternal-newborn outcomes
