Full job description

Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant with hands-on experience in QuickBooks (or QuickBooks Enterprise) and strong Excel skills. The ideal candidate will support day-to-day accounting functions and ensure accurate financial record-keeping in a fast-paced office environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform accounts payable and receivable functions
Maintain and update financial records using QuickBooks / QuickBooks Enterprise
Assist with bank reconciliations and general ledger entries
Prepare and process invoices, payments, and expense reports
Support month-end and year-end closing activities
Use Excel for data tracking, reporting, and analysis
Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
Assist with audits and financial reporting as required
Maintain organized accounting documentation

Requirements:

Prior experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role
Proficiency in QuickBooks or QuickBooks Enterprise
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Knowledge of basic accounting principles
Attention to detail and accuracy
Good organizational and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Accounting diploma or certification (e.g., Bookkeeping, Accounting)
Experience handling full-cycle accounting functions
Familiarity with payroll processing is an asset
