Live-In Building Superintendent

Port Perry, ON

$44,000 /year gross salary, subject to applicable statutory deductions (taxes, UI, and CPP)

2-bedroom apartment (a taxable benefit)

A well-maintained, low-rise residential apartment building in Port Perry, Ontario is seeking a reliable Live-In Building Superintendent for a stable, long-term position.

The role covers general building maintenance and minor repairs, tenant relations, rent collection and administration, emergency on-call availability, and seasonal duties including snow removal (such as shoveling walkways) and grounds care. The Superintendent is the primary on-site contact for all residents and is expected to take full ownership of the building’s day-to-day operation.

What we’re looking for: The ideal candidate is honest and trustworthy, highly responsible, is fully capable of working without close supervision, and has a proactive, rather than reactive, mindset. Superior follow-through and the ability to maintain genuinely positive, patient relationships with residents are equally important. Hands-on maintenance skills and the ability to perform minor repairs and painting are a significant asset, as is having prior experience in building maintenance or property management.
