Position Overview
Field Tech Solutions is seeking experienced and dependable Safe & Vault Technician / Locksmith Subcontractors to support our growing client base. This role involves providing on-site installation, maintenance, repair, and servicing of safes, vaults, vault doors, locking systems, and related security equipment for commercial, retail, financial, and institutional clients.
Subcontractors must be able to work independently, maintain professional standards, and provide their own transportation, tools, and required business documentation.
Scope of Work
Install, service, and repair safes, vaults, vault doors, and locking systems.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electronic lock issues.
Install and service commercial door hardware and security locking systems.
Repair and maintain mechanical and electronic locking devices.
Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and security assessments.
Open, repair, and re-secure safes and vaults as required.
Complete service documentation, reports, and work orders accurately.
Maintain compliance with all applicable safety and security requirements.
Provide professional customer service while representing Field Tech Solutions.
Travel to customer locations to perform assigned service calls.
Communicate job status, completion details, and any site concerns promptly.
Subcontractor Requirements
Previous experience in locksmithing, safe and vault servicing, or security equipment installation.
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Experience with electronic locks, access control systems, and commercial door hardware is considered an asset.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and installation instructions.
Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
Own tools and equipment required to perform assigned work.
Ability to work independently and manage service calls efficiently.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to lift and move heavy equipment when required.
Maintain any required business licenses, insurance, and certifications applicable to your jurisdiction.
Preferred Qualifications
Certified Locksmith designation or equivalent trade certification.
Experience servicing financial institutions, commercial facilities, and high-security environments.
Knowledge of electronic safe locks, vault systems, and access control technologies.
Experience with ATM, safe deposit box, and vault door servicing is an asset.
