Mat Pilates Instructor
Part Time Contract Position

About Us

Sharif Fitness Inc. is a premium boutique fitness facility located in Ajax, Ontario, built on community, inclusivity, and evidence based training. Our space was created to challenge traditional fitness culture by offering an environment where people feel seen, supported, and empowered through movement.

We are especially passionate about creating spaces where women from all backgrounds feel comfortable entering fitness without intimidation or pressure. We value professionalism, warmth, emotional intelligence, and instructors who genuinely care about the people in front of them.

We are currently looking for a skilled and energetic Mat Pilates Instructor to join our growing team.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Mat Pilates Instructor who can confidently lead engaging, intentional, and well structured classes for a diverse clientele. The ideal candidate understands both movement quality and community building, creating classes that are challenging, approachable, and empowering.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a boutique fitness environment and values connection just as much as technical instruction.

Responsibilities

Lead safe, effective, and engaging mat Pilates classes for various fitness levels
Create thoughtful programming focused on strength, mobility, posture, core stability, and body awareness
Offer clear cueing, modifications, and progressions throughout class
Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and community centered atmosphere
Arrive prepared, professional, and on time for all scheduled classes
Build positive relationships with members and contribute to overall studio culture
Maintain cleanliness and professionalism within the studio space
Collaborate with management and other instructors to support studio growth and retention

Qualifications

Certified Pilates Instructor with mat Pilates training
Previous experience teaching group fitness classes required
Strong understanding of anatomy, movement mechanics, and injury awareness
Confident public speaking and class leadership skills
Friendly, emotionally intelligent, and community oriented personality
Ability to work with diverse populations and varying fitness backgrounds
CPR/AED and First Aid certification (C) required
Experience within boutique fitness, wellness, yoga, dance, rehab, or athletic environments is an asset

Compensation

$35-$55/h - Based on experience and qualifications.
