Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will inspire students to explore the wonders of science, foster critical thinking, and develop a love for learning. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic classroom environment, utilizing your expertise in science, mathematics, and teaching methodologies to make a meaningful impact on students’ academic growth and curiosity.

Duties

Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards in various science disciplines.
Conduct classroom instruction that incorporates laboratory experiments, demonstrations, and interactive activities.
Assess student progress through assignments, tests, and projects, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs, including special education students.
Tutor students individually or in small groups to reinforce understanding of complex scientific concepts.
Maintain a safe and organized laboratory environment, ensuring all safety protocols are followed during experiments.
Collaborate with colleagues to design interdisciplinary lessons and participate in school events and meetings.
Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student performance and development.

Qualifications

Prior classroom experience teaching science at the middle or high school level is preferred.
Strong knowledge of science subjects such as biology, chemistry, physics, or earth sciences.
Experience with tutoring students in science or math to enhance understanding and performance.
Familiarity with laboratory procedures and safety standards.
Excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex concepts to students of varying abilities.
Experience working with students requiring special education accommodations is a plus.
Ability to create an engaging learning environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking.
Relevant teaching certifications or licenses are desirable but not mandatory.
