Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optometric Assistant to join our eye care team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, assist with front desk operations, and support clinical activities within a busy optometry practice. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in healthcare, optical services, and patient interaction, with a focus on delivering high-quality service in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

· Patient Pre-Testing: Operate state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment (including auto-refractors, non-contact tonometer, and retinal imaging).

· Clinical Flow & Admin: Greet patients, manage appointments, update Electronic Medical Records (EMR), and process insurance direct billings.

· Clinic Upkeep: Maintain clean exam rooms and sanitize pre-testing equipment.

Experience

· Prior experience in a medical office setting preferred, especially within optometry or ophthalmology practices.

· Knowledge of medical terminology related to eye care is advantageous but not necessary.

· Experience with optical retail sales or sales experience is a plus.

· Strong patient care skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.

· Ability to handle front desk responsibilities efficiently while multitasking in a busy environment.

· Willing to train the right person.

Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
