Couples Therapist — The Relationship Agency (Oshawa, ON)

Location: In-person — Oshawa, Ontario Type: Independent Contractor (Group Practice) Compensation: 60% split | Couples sessions: $275 / 75 minutes Caseload: Minimum 10 clients/week, with the ability to grow to 22 clients/week

The Relationship Agency is a couples-focused group practice in Durham Region with offices in Ajax and Oshawa, serving clients in-person and virtually across Ontario. We're a team of nine clinicians built on clinical excellence, genuine care, and a culture where clinicians hold themselves to high standards — because they care deeply about the work.

The Opportunity

We receive couple referrals every day and need a clinician who is genuinely passionate about couples work — not someone who "also sees couples." This is a real opportunity to build a thriving caseload quickly, with the potential to facilitate couples intensives for highly skilled clinicians.

This is not a side gig or a supplement to a full-time job elsewhere. We're looking for someone who wants a clinical home — a clinician who is invested in being part of a team and aligns with our vision and values.

What We're Looking For

Credentials & Training:

Registered Social Worker (MSW, RSW) or Registered Psychotherapist (RP) in good standing with your regulatory college in Ontario
Specialized training in at least one evidence-based couples therapy modality: Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Relational Life Therapy (RLT), or PACT (Psychobiological Approach to Couple Therapy)
Willingness to be trained on The Relationship Agency's clinical approach and method
A commitment to maintaining your own clinical supervision and ongoing personal and professional development

You're available to see clients in person at our Oshawa office. This is not a virtual-only position.
You can commit to a minimum of 10 client sessions per week, with the capacity and desire to grow to 22 sessions per week.
You're not looking for a side hustle. You want to be part of a team, contribute to a shared mission, and build something meaningful alongside other clinicians who care as much as you do.
You hold yourself to high clinical and ethical standards — not because someone is watching, but because that's who you are.
You're committed to your own growth and healing work. We believe clinicians who do their own work are better clinicians, and this is a core part of our culture.
You're self-aware, accountable, and resourceful. You take ownership of your work and your development.

What We Offer

Consistent, high-volume referrals — we receive couples inquiries daily and your caseload will build quickly
60% split on couples sessions billed at $275 for 75 minutes

Admin support, intake coordinator, and direct billing — so you can focus on clinical work, not paperwork
Focused marketing to build your dream caseload — we actively market the practice and your specialties to attract your ideal clients
Practice infrastructure already in place — we use Jane for scheduling and charting, and Google Workspace for team communication and operations
