Full job description

Shifts Available: 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm x 2

Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide high-quality care and assistance to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private homes. The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the well-being and independence of clients through personalized support and caregiving. Experience in senior care, working with individuals with disabilities, or dementia care is highly valued. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives by delivering compassionate home care and support.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
Administer medications following prescribed schedules and safety protocols
Support clients with meal preparation and feeding as needed
Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning and maintaining a safe environment
Monitor clients’ health status and report any concerns or changes to healthcare professionals or family members
Assist with mobility and transfers to ensure safety during movement
Support clients in engaging in recreational activities and social interactions
Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and any incidents or observations

Requirements

Personal Support Worker Certificate from an accredited Ontario Program
Vulnerable Sector Police Check
Valid CPR and First Aid Training
Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care environments preferred
Knowledge of senior care, dementia care, medication administration, and working with individuals with disabilities is a plus
Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills
Ability to perform caregiving tasks with patience and empathy
Capable of light cleaning, meal preparation, and other household duties as part of comprehensive support services
Reliable transportation or the ability to travel between client locations if required
Must be able to pass background checks and any necessary health screenings
Flexibility to work various shifts depending on client needs; some roles may require availability during evenings or weekends

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
