Are you yearning for a working environment that nurtures a sense of belonging, offers an authentic opportunity to grow personally & professionally, and cares deeply about people, where you can also bring your kiddos or fur babies? Wegotchu!
We’re a small & mighty cottage rental business making some great sh!t happen. We’ve been renting out our three large Muskoka lakeside cottages for more than 15 years. We excel at what we do by being human - offering enlivening experiences & authentic connections to our guests & ourselves. We’re heartfelt about giving people from all walks of life a fair shake at enjoying FANtastic cottage getaways, while also working hard to be a thriving business.
We’re different - both in what we do and how we do it. We’re looking for someone who’s resilient, courageous and open minded - you meet challenges head on, and love soaking up the wisdom of the people around you. In turn, we offer an environment that warmly appreciates your talents & energy in genuine, wholehearted ways. Let’s build community & grow together!
JOB OVERVIEW
As long as you possess the below Non-Negotiables and Personal Attributes, we are open to hiring a Coordinator, Sr Coordinator, or Lead (depending on your level of experience).
We wanna be upfront that we’re looking for 3 peeps for some seasonal support over our busy summer season (May-October) and 1 peep for a permanent role, both part-time <3
This position reports to the Cottage Care Coordinator and is responsible for ensuring that every guest has a FANtastically enlivening getaway, including a breathtaking first impression of the cottages with gasps of, “Wow. Wow! WOW!” at every turn.
Across any given month, 90% of your time will be caring for changeovers, which are the 5-6 hours we have between guests where you’ll be restoring the pizzazz to the cottage in preparation for our next set of guests. The remaining 10% of your time will be at the cottage when there’s availability, devoted to executing enjoyable & inspiring DIY projects with the whole team.
Projects range from straightforward (eg diving into deep cleaning; refreshing with paint touch ups; caring for yardwork) to diy or renovation work (eg refinishing siding, decks, & docks; laying new flooring; building an indoor treehouse - yup!) to enlivening improvements (eg evolving our Escapades™ offering; implementing wonderful ways of surprising & delighting our guests; sharing opportunities to appreciate & celebrate with one another).
Success in this position involves creating and offering consistency & stability to ourselves and our guests ahead of every getaway. As someone who loves visual aesthetics, combined with your talent for exceptional cleaning, and a knack for restoring beauty & order, you’ll help propel us towards achieving and maintaining our high standards for FANtastic getaways.
