Detailer Technician — Full-Time
Velocity Mobile Detailing is hiring an experienced Detailer Technician to lead jobs on-site for our growing mobile detailing operation across the Durham Region. You'll be the senior detailer on each job, responsible for delivering high-quality work and managing the assisting worker on your crew.
Job Overview:
This is a hands-on, customer-facing role. You'll travel to client locations each day with a detailing worker assigned to assist you, perform the booked services to a high standard, and represent the company throughout the job. You're the one accountable for the quality of the finished product and the client experience from start to finish. The goal on every vehicle is to bring it back to factory condition — clean, sharp, and presented properly.
Responsibilities:
- Travel to client locations across the Durham Region with your assigned detailing worker and equipment
- Set up the work area professionally — water, power, drainage, and surrounding protection

- Perform full-service detailing work, including:
– Exterior washes using the proper technique
– Wheels, tires, door jambs, and trim
– Paint decontamination, claying, and iron removal
– Full interior shampooing, extraction, and leather conditioning
– Engine bay detailing, headlight restoration, and finishing work
– Applying dressings, sealants, and protectants cleanly
- Direct the worker assigned to you — assign tasks (washes, vacuuming, prep), check their work, and keep the job moving on schedule
- Conduct a final walkthrough with the client and confirm satisfaction before leaving
- Collect payment where applicable and document the job accurately
- Maintain equipment, chemicals, and the work vehicle in clean, organized condition
- Troubleshoot on-site issues (water access, weather, difficult stains) and adapt as needed
- Follow safety protocols and product instructions on every job
Requirements:
- Proven detailing experience — you should be confident running a full detail from start to finish
- Comfortable using vacuums, extractors, steamers, and standard detailing tools
- Strong customer service and communication skills — you'll be the face of the company on every job
- Ability to work independently and lead a worker through the day
- Full G license and reliable personal vehicle
- Must live in Durham Region
- Available full-time — 5 days/week minimum (Monday–Friday), 7 days/week preferred
