We are seeking an experienced Clinical Business Analyst – Ambulatory to support a large-scale healthcare transformation initiative focused on the implementation and standardization of a province-wide Clinical Information System (CIS). This role will play a key part in modernizing healthcare delivery by helping design, standardize, and implement clinical workflows, documentation, and order management processes across ambulatory care settings.
The successful candidate will work closely with clinical stakeholders, subject matter experts, informatics teams, and project leadership to define business requirements, develop clinical standards, and support the implementation of digital healthcare solutions. This position requires strong healthcare operations knowledge, clinical informatics expertise, and experience working within acute care electronic health record (EHR/CIS) environments.
- Gather, analyze, and document business, clinical, and system requirements related to ambulatory care workflows.

Facilitate workshops, stakeholder engagement sessions, and requirements-gathering activities with physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, allied health professionals, and operational leaders.

Conduct business process analysis, workflow assessments, gap analyses, and future-state design activities.

Develop use cases, user stories, process maps, functional specifications, business requirements documents, and detailed design documentation.

Support the development and standardization of clinical content, including order sets, documentation templates, clinical workflows, and care processes.

Collaborate with clinical subject matter experts to establish standardized practices and workflows for adoption across multiple healthcare organizations.

Build, configure, validate, and test clinical content within the Clinical Information System.

Participate in solution design reviews and provide recommendations regarding clinical workflow optimization and digital transformation initiatives.

Support user acceptance testing (UAT), workflow validation, issue resolution, and implementation readiness activities.

Work closely with project managers, clinical leads, informatics teams, technical teams, and operational stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Maintain strong relationships with business and clinical stakeholders to ensure alignment between operational requirements and technology solutions.

Support multiple workstreams and concurrent initiatives within a complex healthcare transformation program.

Contribute to change management, training readiness, and adoption activities as required.
- University degree in Healthcare, Business Administration, Information Technology, Health Informatics, Nursing, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant ambulatory care experience.

Minimum 5 years of experience as a Clinical Business Analyst, Clinical Informatics Analyst, or similar role supporting ambulatory care environments.

Minimum 5 years of experience working with Electronic Health Records (EHR), Clinical Information Systems (CIS), or other healthcare information systems within acute care environments.

Minimum 3 years of experience supporting healthcare technology implementation projects involving clinical workflows, digital transformation, or CIS/EHR deployments.
