Line Cook – Breakfast Restaurant

Position: Line Cook
Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Location: [Stacked Pancake & Breakfast House], [Brooklin, Ontario, L1M0M5]
Pay: $[20]–$[25] per hour, depending on experience

About the Position

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and experienced Line Cook to join our busy breakfast restaurant. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen, takes pride in preparing quality food, and works well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook breakfast and lunch menu items according to recipes and restaurant standards.
Cook eggs, omelettes, pancakes, waffles, French toast, breakfast meats, home fries, sandwiches, burgers, and other menu items.
Prepare ingredients and complete daily food preparation before and during service.
Set up and maintain an organized cooking station.
Handle multiple orders efficiently during busy breakfast rushes.
Follow recipes, portion sizes, cooking times, and plating standards.
Ensure food is prepared accurately, consistently, and at the proper temperature.
Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene procedures.
Keep the cooking line, kitchen, equipment, and work areas clean and organized.
Restock ingredients and supplies throughout the shift.
Communicate clearly with kitchen staff, servers, and management.
Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, and other kitchen duties as required.
Work efficiently and remain calm and professional during busy periods.

Qualifications

Previous line cook or restaurant kitchen experience preferred.
Breakfast or brunch restaurant experience is an asset.
Strong knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
Ability to work quickly and accurately in a high-volume environment.
Ability to multitask and prioritize during busy periods.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding kitchen duties.
Food Handler Certification is an asset.
Must be available to work mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.
