Full job description

Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Property Maintenance Technician to ensure the optimal operation, safety, and appearance of our facilities. This energetic role involves performing a wide range of maintenance tasks, troubleshooting issues, and supporting facility operations to create a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and technical skills, along with leadership qualities to supervise maintenance activities and collaborate effectively with team members. Your dedication will directly impact the quality of our property and the satisfaction of our tenants or occupants.

Duties

Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems, machinery, and infrastructure to ensure continuous operation.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC units, lighting fixtures, and mechanical equipment using schematics and technical manuals.
Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to monitor and control building automation systems for energy efficiency and safety.
Conduct welding repairs, metal fabrication, and other mechanical repairs as needed to maintain property integrity.
Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) software to schedule work orders, track maintenance activities, and document repairs.
Supervise or assist with facilities maintenance projects, ensuring safety standards are met and work is completed efficiently.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing tenant or occupant concerns promptly and professionally.

Qualifications

Proven experience in facilities maintenance or manufacturing environments with a focus on building systems.
Supervising experience in a maintenance or facilities setting is highly desirable.
Strong electrical experience with knowledge of schematics, wiring diagrams, and electrical codes.
Mechanical knowledge including HVAC systems, plumbing, welding techniques, and general repair skills.
Excellent communication skills in English for effective team collaboration and customer service delivery.
Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to supervise teams or projects effectively.
