Full job description

Our multidisciplinary pediatric clinic in Maple Ridge is seeking a compassionate and motivated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLP-A) to join our growing team. This role will focus on 1:1 support for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other neurodiversities, under the supervision of a Registered Speech-Language Pathologist.

Responsibilities:

Implement individualized speech and language programs developed by the SLP
Provide 1:1 therapy sessions focused on communication, language development, articulation, and social communication
Collect data and track progress during sessions
Prepare therapy materials and visual supports
Support alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) systems as directed
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including BCBAs, OTs, BIs, and caregivers
Maintain clear and organized documentation and session notes
Participate in team meetings and training opportunities

Required Qualifications:

Completion of a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or a related field.
Experience working with children with Autism or developmental delays
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and take direction from a supervising SLP
Experience in a pediatric clinical setting is an asset
Familiarity with PECS, AAC devices, visual schedules, and social communication strategies
Background in early intervention or behaviour support
