About the Role:
As a Journeyperson Electrician at Zeno Renewables, you’ll lead a crew of apprentices, ensuring the high-quality installation of residential solar systems with direction from the Field Supervisor and Location Manager. This role requires someone who is hands-on, safety-focused, and has a keen attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities (but not limited to the following):
- Assemble and install solar equipment in accordance with design and safety requirements.
- Work at heights, including on pitched, two-storey residential roofs.
- Lead and guide apprentices, ensuring tasks are completed on time and to the highest standards.
- Maintain quality control, meet project deadlines, and resolve any on-site challenges.
- Keep work vehicles organized and maintain inventory.
- Submit daily paperwork and timesheets to the Field Supervisor.
- Update installation schedules and communicate any delays to the Project Manager promptly.
Duration: 35 - 45 hours/week
Qualifications:
We’re looking for a candidate who maintains a professional demeanor and possess the following:
Required Certificates:
- Red Seal Journeyperson Electrician.
- Fall Arrest certification (training can be offered at the time of employment).
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving abstract.
- Criminal background check.
- First Aid certification (preferred but not required).
Skills & Abilities:
- Experience in residential electrical work (knowledge of basic home construction is an asset).
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Comfortable working at heights and on 2-storey pitched roofs with company-provided fall protection equipment.
- Flexible to work varying hours and locations from Monday to Friday.
- Ability to lift 50lbs or more, multiple times per day.
- Strong understanding of electrical codes, prints, diagrams, and schematics.
- Enjoys mentoring and training apprentices to help them develop their skills.

- Safety-conscious: Prioritizes maintaining a safe work environment and adheres to safety protocols.
Please note, only qualified Electrical Journeymen with Red Seal will be considered for this position.
