Job Summary
We are seeking a talented Freelance Sound Engineer to join our creative team on a project basis. The ideal candidate will have a passion for audio production, sound editing, and mixing, with the ability to work independently and deliver high-quality results. This role offers flexibility to work remotely or on-site, depending on project requirements, and involves collaborating with various multimedia projects including videos, podcasts, and live events.

Duties

Record, edit, and mix audio for a variety of multimedia projects such as videos, podcasts, and live recordings
Operate sound equipment during live events or recordings to ensure optimal audio quality
Collaborate with video editors and content creators to synchronize audio and visual elements effectively
Apply sound effects and enhancements using industry-standard software to improve overall audio quality
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
Maintain organized audio files and project documentation for easy retrieval and editing
Stay updated with the latest audio technology and industry trends to continually improve production quality

Skills

Strong understanding of sound engineering principles and techniques
Excellent editing skills with attention to detail in audio quality and clarity
Ability to work independently as a freelancer while managing multiple projects efficiently
Strong communication skills for collaboration with creative teams

Pay: $30.00-$66.31 per hour

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Toronto, ON M5R 2W3
