Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Office Manager to join our team! This vital role combines precise financial management with efficient office operations, ensuring our business runs smoothly and accurately. As a key member of our organization, you will oversee day-to-day bookkeeping activities, manage payables, receivables, payroll and remittances.

Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of bookkeeping, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as Sage.
Perform bank reconciliations regularly to verify account accuracy and identify discrepancies.
Conduct account analysis to monitor financial health, prepare reports, and support budgeting processes.
Oversee payroll processing to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time, complying with relevant regulations.
Handle general office management duties such as ordering supplies, coordinating schedules, and maintaining organized filing systems.
Assist with month-end closing procedures, including ledger review and financial statement preparation.
Answer inbound phone calls and enquiries, direct calls as required.,
Maintain inventory and parts ordering.
Keep offices and common areas such as washrooms and lunch room clean.

Skills

Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage is essential for managing financial transactions efficiently.
Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation.
Experience with payroll processing and related compliance requirements.
Excellent attention to detail for accurate bank reconciliation and account analysis.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of budgeting processes to support financial planning efforts.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and external vendors seamlessly.
