Full job description

Backman Heating & Cooling Inc. has an immediate opening for a 2nd, 3rd or 4th year apprentice. This is an excellent career opportunity to join a smaller sized, well-established business with an exceptional reputation and supportive team environment.

Responsibilities:

Install high quality heating and cooling equipment in residential and light commercial applications.
Maintain, troubleshoot and repair existing HVAC systems.
Effectively communicate with customers and team members

Qualifications & Experience:

Eligible to work as a 2nd, 3rd or 4th year Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Apprentice (and related trades) in Nova Scotia
Valid driver’s licence, clean drivers abstract and pass a criminal background check.
The nature of this role is physically demanding and requires manual dexterity, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude and trouble-shooting skills
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to work independently as well as with a team
Any current safety courses an asset

Compensation:

$21-$35 per hour depending on experience and level of apprenticeship
